I have a '11 Yukon Denali. About a month ago, I noticed the carpet next to the driver's side 2nd row seat was wet after a pretty hard rain. I got it dried out and tried to determine where the water was coming from, but with it still raining it was hard to tell.
When the rain stopped I did some tests with a hose, and I pulled the decorative sill off on that side to give myself a little better view. From what I can tell, the rubber seal is perhaps not making a tight enough seal at the bottom of the door, water runs down the channel inside the door, but outside the seal, and runs over the seal at the base of the door. It's almost dead center on the bottom of the door frame where water actually comes over the top of the seal, and with the sill plate there will run over the plate onto the carpet.
Has anyone else seen this? I'm wondering if it might just be a bad seal. It all looks ok, but that doesn't mean it is making a good seal I suppose. I thought I would float this to see if anyone else has had a similar issue before I just replaced the seal, but that's where I'm headed otherwise. Thanks!
