Someone should start retrofitting TSX projectors for people. I'd be willing to pay...
You provide the parts/shipping and I can probably hook you up with the guy that did most of the work on mine. No idea on what he'd charge, but if interested, send me a PM and I'll contact him.
As far as DDM goes...I'm currently running 55w DDM kits in both lows and fogs. I swapped out my 35w lows just to see the difference in output, and I liked the result. The TSX projectors still handle the light pretty well, although admittedly they lose a bit of the "sharpness" on cutoff. I can't run the fogs without blinding people, so I have the 6-high mod, and when I go to high beams it's crazy bright. I still haven't swapped my high-beams to HID's, but that is probably coming soon.
My experience with DDM has been great...I've had four sets in two cars, and they all still work, even the almost 4 year-old ones in my car. I haven't even had to replace a bulb. I live in Alaska, and the weather is...ummm...extreme, at times, and they have held up. The only thing I don't like about DDM vs. OEM is the time from ignition to fully-bright is longer by several seconds. If you can afford them and are sticking with 35w lights, I'd highly recommend Matsushita ballasts. There is a link in my retrofit thread to where you can purchase them, or just google it and I'm sure they would come up.
Definitely get real HID projectors if you want the best light and cutoff. There are a lot to choose from nowadays that are good, not just TSX. S2000's, most Lexus ones, BMW...more cars are coming with HID's standard, so there are just more options. Keep in mind they have to fit, both in the housing and behind the housing...they will most likely be deeper than the stock headlights once retro'd in.
Check my sig link for a tour of my retro and the results, but the guys have given you most of the info you need.
