I was wondering if you guys could make some cut outs for the GMC logo in the steering wheel. Here's a pic:

its very doable . in most cases we need the part in our hands to scan and then draw on the computer to make the decal. in some cases we have had customers scan things and send us the file and are able to make the decal . if your going to try this scan it with a pennie then print a pic and compare the pennie to confirm its the same size as a lot of times scanners resize images .

also keep in mind the stickers and decals dont stick well to most dash surfaces . mostly because of whats used to clean them and often times because what they are made out of.

all that being said. im always open to new product ideas and new products so anything is worth looking into

sounds great. And what do you mean by scanning it? And with what?

with a scanner
sometimes a traced on paper template will work but not in this case im sure.
so youd have to scan it to get the file on the computer

yea pretty much you would have to take the part off the truck and toss it on the scanner bed. unless your lucky and have one of them portable scanners.

i really cant thing of an easier way to get the correct size. with some badges and even headlights for eyelids we have bought the part and made the template but thats when a number of people want it. based on cost right? ... some badges are insanly priced

just had another idea that I will scan to you as well. A decal to fit in the circle of the key? I know a lot of people here including myself probably don't have the original key as the key ring part always broke and may have the key nlankc that they have at a hardware store which don't have the GMC logo on them but are the same shape. Maybe a GMC logo or NYG for my beloved giants. Anything other than those god aweful numbers on the back and the key brand. Thanks again in advance. Hope I'm not being a pain just brainstorming and thinking of something others may be interested in as well

i welcome all ideas .
how ever the decal would probably only last on the key for a day or 2 till you put the keys in your pocket . smaller the harder it is to stick. very soon ill be selling carbon fiber keychains with GM and GMC and other logos on them. i know its not the same as a key itself. but they still look nice

I didn't really think about that. That's a good point. I'll try to scan the air bag cover this week. Let me know about the key chains

now don't laugh because it sounds like a pre school art class project....but what if you put a piece of white paper over the GMC, then rub it with the side of a pencil led to create the general outline and shape and then fax it in 100% size to Scott?

i think your best bet is going to a craft/hobby store and get hobby paint and paint the inside.

Actually that's exactly what I was planning on doing

the only thing is i need a hard straight line to trace in order to get the shape. this is why having the part in my hands is the best option. other then that scanning the part often works. because i can zoom in on it and trace around it on my program.

open times people will send me a photo of something like this. how ever this is no good as god only knows how far its off from normal size. or how zoomed it is . keeping in mind my vinyl sticker cutting only cuts the outline of a decal and its only as smart as the file i tell it to cut. see this video and you will get a better idea of how it goes from computer to sticker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFGX4qqCjQc&feature=youtu.be

How about Overlay's for the DENALI, YUKON or GMC badges so we can rock different colors?

id love to.
but i need the badges to make the overlays.
and since each year and trim level in some cases have diffrent sizes it could be very tricky. . even to find the badges on ebay is very costly.
in some cases people can scan them with a computer scanner and email me the pic and i can make them. we have done this in the past with good reseults.

You will sell a ton of them on here. The DENALI badge for the 2007+ is the same for all trim level's. So is the word YUKON as well as the GMC logo. Let's hook something up.

well . i have a 2011 gmc sierra so that takes care of them ones ...lol just a matter of popin them off and making the over lays.

i know with some badges its less work to sell the customer the sheet of vinly and have them cut themselfs. example chevy bowties. as a precut decal is hard to cut one size fits all with all the bends. i havnt taken a good look our my badges but i think they are flat so this shouldnt be an issue

anyone that helps by sending. badges or scanns gets the overlays for free. problem is most people dont have spare badges to get away. how ever if someone has taken them off ... i can offer a credit for something else in exchange for badges .
