well if it is the brakes wearing down, then it will just squeak more then eventually grind (this usually takes a number of miles)At this point, I don’t care I have a trip to make tomorrow and I guess if it flies off and i die idk. Tired of all these shotty shops. It’s just the way it is in my area.
the auto shop I went to said the pads are still pretty thick. They are ceramic.well if it is the brakes wearing down, then it will just squeak more then eventually grind (this usually takes a number of miles)
if it is a wheel bearing it may get louder and louder or progress into a grinding noise
either way it will let you know and unless you have a discount option with a local shop then repairs on the road would be same anyway
so send-it.....
Could still be a bent sensor tab or clip, inspection requires taking the wheel offthe auto shop I went to said the pads are still pretty thick. They are ceramic.
Which they didCould still be a bent sensor tab or clip, inspection requires taking the wheel off
maybe they are glazed then, this can cause squealing noisy brakes. you could try having the rotors turned.Which they did
might need a tire rebalance, high wind just pushes me around a little doesn't make it shaky, shake is no different at 65 or 120+Made it to the hotel. Wheel hubs in the rear were a little warm to touch. Like not hot. Just like warm from the trip I’m guessing. Wheels them self weren’t warm either. It was just kinda shaky above 80 mph. Barely. Nothing to bad. It was mostly wind and those damned road grooves haha
For me I don’t feel it until over 70 ish. I am gonna take highways back instead of interstate to avoid any harder wear and tear on stuff.might need a tire rebalance, high wind just pushes me around a little doesn't make it shaky, shake is no different at 65 or 120+
shake is almost always tire related
tire balancing is done on a machine, it''s nothing you could detect by eye.For me I don’t feel it until over 70 ish. I am gonna take highways back instead of interstate to avoid any harder wear and tear on stuff.
Tire balance…. What exactly is that.
Would you notice that on the tire wear? My tires seem to be wearing down pretty even. No random bald spots.
Have you checked to see if the dust shields are coming into contact with the rotors?high pitched squeak
No. How can i do that? Also I have taken two road trips and it hasn’t really gotten better or worse. So it must be nothing major.Have you checked to see if the dust shields are coming into contact with the rotors?
This video isn't a Tahoe yet the dust shield proximity to the rotor and solution may be of benefit. Key points at :50 and 2:50.No. How can i do that? Also I have taken two road trips and it hasn’t really gotten better or worse. So it must be nothing major.
