max did you get the shorter shocks??? I just dont want anyone to lose a spring when going sideways up a curb. I would recommend shock extenders at least to anyone doing this and getting the correct length shock. I would try the 10-225/475 if your 11 inch spring doesnt work right.

btw i added a chart from qa1 first post will all spring info

as people start doing this ill just add results in first post ie tire size/ground to fenderlip measurments. not sure if many people will go with more than 5 inch drop though but if they do this will work out great.

Also its the same set up on the 07 up trucks

They shipped today and I have 19" extended length bilsteins sitting at work along with new fronts. I hope I can get just under the frame with the coil fully compressed and not bottom out, looks like it would sit another inch lower than it does now. I guess trial and error is the only method with these things but if enough people try these I'm sure we can build some data.

I don't remember off hand I'll have to check next week when I install everything. I also have shock extensions.

Nevermind on the shocks, I will have to figure that out on my own. It would be kind of hard to use the same shocks if we use different springs. Disregard

Plus or minus an inch you'll be ok with shock extensions. I have a few lengths laying around just sucks I'm gonna have to press sleeves in them since the shortest gm rear shock is 22.5". 7" springs should work on a truck with extensions and a 19" to 20" long shock.

I wanted to try the 11" with a higher spring rate but I guess those 10" would work. Do you remember having to notch for those? I called belltech and they said my current springs are 164 lb springs but he wasn't sure if that was an average or resting springrate. I really wanted to drop this thing too, looks like the 10-400 springs will only take a day to ship tho.

id notch going below 5 inches anyway. 164 lbs sounds way to soft in rear im sure its much more than that lol.

summit takes it back no quesitons asked in 90 days even used.

ID ORDEr these
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HAL-10-225-475/

and
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HAL-10-400/

then see how it works out for you. the 12 inch spring you would have to run such a low spring rate to make it sit where you want that ride would just bounce.

if 10-400 is still not enought drop to a 9 inch one then. Id much see shorter spring/higher springrate then longer spring/much shorter spring rate esp on a truck of this size.

Yeah I just want a progressive rate since I tend to hit corners hard. I was just about to order those 10-225-475, sucks I wanted to see where the 11" put me height wise but I'll just have to wait. Buddy at work said he would stay late next week and help me do the notch.

I just hope my CVs like me lowering the front another 1/2" or so. I want the fenders level with the tire
