I'm clearly missing something in the instructions but the port on my intake leads under my throttle body to a port on the front of the engine.

The instructions say to use the port on the driver's side valve cover to vent into the dirty side of the can...my vehicle has ports on both valve covers, not just one. So what do I do with the other one.

It then suggests to send the clean side to the intake...if I do that then the port under the throttle body where that is connected to will just be wide open and I'm certain that's not correct.

As you can see the pic with my finger in it goes from the intake to the port under the throttle body.

Here are some pics. Can you guys help?

You should have a PCV valve located on the top of one of the valve covers on your motor. On my '07, it was located on the driver's side on top of the valve cover at the back of the motor.

Basically, once you find the PCV valve, you are replacing the hose that connects to the PCV valve to the intake manifold with the 2 hoses that came with the oil catch can kit. You want the input side of the oil catch can to be connected to the PCV valve, and the output side of the oil catch can to be connected to the intake manifold.

I found the pcv valve located under an to the right of the throttle body. Not in the valve cover like the directions stated. I ran the hose without the check valve from there to the top of the can. The clean side with check valve I ran from the side of the can to the intake.

Both valve covers have vents that vent into the air intake resonator. I left those in place.

They need to re word their instructions as the pcv IS NOT located in a valve cover on my 2019 5.3

So are you okay then? I am not familiar with that generation of PVC setups.

I think so. Thanks for checking. It drives a bit different and I'm getting a suffer smell now but I did use some gdi cleaner also so it could be that. From what I can tell it's routed correctly and when I open the valve on the drain air comes out.

Hopefully you will get some better and more informed responses to confirm everything is kosher for you.

I've been wanting to put a CC on our '19 but seems like every install directions diagrams are for a different setup than what we have. Your third picture connection to the air box looks like it's not the vacuum source for the PVC system, maybe a filtered supply air source for something? Next to that is the PVC venting line from the front of the valve cover.

The pcv valve is located just below the throttle body on the right. That line vents into the side of the intake. The metal ports on the valve covers appear to just be vents of some kind. Here is a picture locating the valve that I found online

I ran the line from the pcv to the top of the can, then the return from the side of the can to the side of the intake manifold where the original pcv line terminated

When you removed the hoses did you see any oil inside them? The '19 models did have some improvements in the system. I'm a little concerned about the warranty with this add on even though it's probably a really needed item on these DI motors.

Yes, there was a teenie tiny amount of oil but I think it is more from venting than anything. They appear to be direct ports into the valve cover and not related to the pcv valve. Maybe these are some sort of secondary vent in case the pcv were to take a dump??? Idk.
