I just bought the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX and plan on installing it Monday or Tuesday. I'll let you know how it goes.

New head unit won't make it sound better as the head unit is FAR from the weakest link

I just installed that pioneer in the escalade and love it! I think the next model is the avh-8000 and has nav. There is adapter that retains all factory functions of the truck all in one package (including steering wheel controls) if I remember rp5-gm31, I'll look when I get home

Use this interface with a kenwood or pioneer radio. It does soooo much more than just a simple radio interface. You can double up radio functions on the steering wheel as well as show cel info from engine data. http://maestro.idatalink.com/product/product/product_id/102

I looked at this but how does it show on your radio display?

Any update on the radio yet?
