i think my ujoint is going bad. when i back up i can hear this squeaking noise. that faster i go the faster the noise gets. it also squeaks when i go forward but once i hit about 15mph i cant hear it anymore. its not the brakes or the wheel bearings cause i just had them checked. is a ujoint replacement expensive, how much do u think a replacement will cost?

ujoints are anywhere from 10 to 25 bucks.. some have the grease fitting on them if you get the right ones.. do it yourself btw.. its 4 bolts that hold it in there.. pretty easy to do..
