Turn signal stays on

i have a 2005 Z71 Tahoe and the driver side turn signal will come on when you crank the truck. It doesn’t blink it just stays on. Any ideas what will cause this.

probably have a bulb or two out, have you checked your bulbs? usually it will blink fast if one is out

could be corroded socket to, clean them up real good when replacing bulbs

Bulbs are good. It will just come on when you crank the truck and stay on. Other times it will work like it should. The passenger side works fine.

It could be the turn signal stalk/handle has an intermittent issue but I agree with the above... check all bulbs front and rear.

A lot of times a filament will break inside a bulb and contact the other filament which allows power from the parking light to back flow into the turn signal.

I always prefer double checking the simple things before moving on to bigger issues.
