04 Yukon 5.3 156k all stock. After running forest service roads for a couple days I noticed a little hesitation shifting. Fluid didn't smell burnt, it looks good too. The whole time I was driving around the woods I had it in tow haul mode to minimize expensive shifting on steep grades. Any suggestions? I'm going to order a massive cooler. But is that a sign I need to start saving for a new tranny?

Disconnect your battery cables overnight to reset the computer. IN the morning when you reconnect them, the truck probably will drive funny for about a tank of gas or so, but it is relearning how you drive and when to shift. See if this clears up any problems before you go drop some cash on a cooler or a tranny.
