Trailer brake controller - 2018 Yukon XL 5.3L

hey all, while I’m 6,000 miles away, it’s tough to check so I’ll ask you.

I know my Yukon has a 7-pin connector but does not have an integrated trailer brake controller. Is it a simple plug & play with an aftermarket TBC? IIRC, I don’t remember seeing any wires bundled under the dash near the OBDII port

Tekonsha P3 FTW. Check eTrailer for the pigtail with the connectors for your truck; since you have the 7-blade they do make them.

Under the dash you'll look for a connector that (probably) has a heavy red and blue wire, along with two others. They do kind of hide them from what I hear. Mates to the white connector in this pic:
