New to the forum and I recently put some new keys on my 03 yukon. I got almost 3 inches of lift and I've called a few alignment shops and they said because the front end is up higher than the back that they cannot align my truck. They also said that my control arms are maxed out and that I need some longer control arms. Does this sound right? I thought if you just installed torsion keys that nothing else needed to be added? Some quick help would be appreciated.

No No No lol....

I put Keys on my 3/4 ton and cranked about 4" outta them. Like a month later I snapped the upper balll joint and wrecked shop on my rim, ABS line and Factory UCA. I put some Kryptonite UCA's on there with MOOG ball joints to solve that problem... Not sure who makes them for IFS 1/2 Ton with cranked keys but I know I would buy those before I cranked the keys, based on my experience. If you add keys and max them, youll need a spacer in the rear to level it out and I would definitely get new UCA's or crank the keys back down an inch or inch and a half. Snapping a ball joint sucks, trust me.

I just saw on Cognito's web store they do make UCA's for the Tahoes. I will be getting those for sure.

you have the keys set too high. just go level with the back and you'll be fine. much more than that and you will have problems...like in the previous post, not to mention bad CV angles, bad ball joint angles, and a terrible ride.
