My drivers side sits lower than passenger and my drivers side key is maxed out. I want to get new torsion bars and lower control arms but from what I’ve seen, there are multiple part numbers and each has a different stiffness. The plan is to get z71 coils and new torsion bars with new keys and level it to the z71 coils. I really don’t want to pay $400+ each for new bars so I’ve been looking on market place for part out trucks. If I’m putting z71 coils on it, it would make sense to get z71 bars right? Are the bars the same for all z71s or do they have different part numbers too?

Torsion bars will not affect ride height… if you want to fix it instead of throwing parts at the truck, have it properly diagnosed by a professional shop.

I’m not throwing parts at it lol. I know the issue is a weak bar or a worn socket on the LCA, most likely a combination of both. I’m looking for used bars because I’m not spending over $800 for new ones on a vehicle I bought for 3500. I know what to look at before I buy any random set of used ones. I’ve been a HD diesel mechanic for 6 years and this is the second Tahoe I owned, don’t need a professional shop. Thanks for the input though.

Fully appreciating that saving money SHOULD be the point of a vehicular forum
(instead of simply regurgitating 'GM OE is best' into my face like a gottdamnt alien),
I'll thank you for leaving me a pair of brand new torsion bars with the following:

I did check that site but closest ones to me are over an hour away and I’d also like to check out the truck before I buy them. I found a guy on marketplace that’ll sell me the bars and coils off his z71 for $200. I’ll go new for LCAs

Hopefully I'm wrong about spring fatigue ...

Can’t be worse than what I got now. Drivers side is cranked all the way and still sits about half an inch lower than passenger side and the adjustment bolt is only about halfway on that side. No broken or loose front end parts either.

What I meant was that spring fatigue is a factor you'd be able to ignore if you bought your torsion springs new.

To be quite honest I didn’t look further than a quick google for “2002 Tahoe torsion bar” and saw the prices and stopped there and started looking for used. I decided to look into new ones just to get an actual price. They’re discontinued. Used it is

Have you considered just doing a poly bushing swap and new torsion keys. Not sure if you are a DIY'er like me but I did that it lifted my ride considerably. Rides nicer with some Bilstien 5100's too
