So Ive read up on what triggers this, but my question is, why is it happening? I've been battling this P1870 code for way too long...well over a year. I had a new rebuilt put in last year and its been back to the shop 2 times for 1870 code.
Now that its warming up down south I'm starting to see this problem reoccurring after a mostly problem free winter.
Is temperature a factor in triggering the trans into going into torq. lock out?
That's what I notice, the hotter it is the and harder I work the transmission (traffic, quick acceleration) the more likely it will dish me an an 1870. Once she cools down its fine.
Am i doing more damage by driving it in this condition? Fluid level is fine....no other codes....I do have a strange intermitent high frequency vibration that no one can figure out. But I have a feeling its traanny related.
Whats the next step I should take? Im done dealing with the clowns over at this shop I used.
