Went to do the front brakes on my 2010 Avalanche today and found the driver side cv axle boot completely torn. So I decided to wait on the brakes until I fix the axle so I don't get grease or whatever all over the new brake parts. So, my question is if I should go with OEM or extended travel cv axles for lifted vehicles. I put a 3" lift on back in 2016 and have been running the OEM cv axles since then and before. This is the first time I've had a torn boot so I'm almost thinking that the OEM axles will be fine and I don't even need the extended travel axles. Any opinions? If it ain't broke, don't fix it?
