I hope he knows what he's talking about. @Sam Harris didn't you just do yours? What were your symptoms and which one did you get?

Sorry Tony I'm not really familiar with it. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.Hey while you guys are talking steering. I have been getting a surge through my power steering sometimes turning to the right while driving.
Guy I was talking too reckons it's a sensor at the bottom of the column.
You guys delt with this issue before?

That's the one I just ordered, thx @Sam Harris. I hope this is the issue I'm having. I just have alot of play in the steering wheel-- and it SUX!! Did you also replace the bearing?Hey Tony, I got this one:
Genuine GM Parts 19329330 Upper Intermediate Steering Shaft https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07RZ2Z...abc_742ZNEYEP4F8G6PKAXV7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Crazy! It went up $10 since I bought mine..!
I was just having some clunking noise / feel. It had done that since I owned the truck. I don’t honestly think it’s something that would cause any actual issue, just an annoyance.
Lol, I don't mind at all. Haven't gotten much traffic here lately. No loveWas checking for movement on the same shaft on mine the other day too.
Looks okay, need to change p.s fluid tho
Yeah,a few of the boys on here who are close to your thread might know what it could be so I hoped you wouldn't mind me throwing that out there on the

Nope. I just replaced the shaft. There’s a sensor in the stabilitrak models, but I don’t have that (thankfully)That's the one I just ordered, thx @Sam Harris. I hope this is the issue I'm having. I just have alot of play in the steering wheel-- and it SUX!! Did you also replace the bearing?

Damn. This is the part number that comes up for mine on the gmpartsdirect site--Nope. I just replaced the shaft. There’s a sensor in the stabilitrak models, but I don’t have that (thankfully)
I think this is the bearing: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-p...9eXVrb24meT0yMDAzJnQ9c2x0JmU9NS0zbC12OC1mbGV4
(This says with “active brake” which I believe refers to stabilitrak)
Regarding my previous sentence, “sensor”, I think I was actually thinking of the bearing, not a sensor.
