Oh hell yeah, they’ll pop off a vacuum hose or unplug something so your check engine light comes on and then try to sell you a fix for something that wasn’t broken in the first place. Especially if you’re a woman. Some of the big chains were busted by news organizations here years ago. They were wearing hidden cameras and would have a mechanic inspect the vehicles thoroughly, then go to a shop using a woman driver and see what the shops would try. It was scary what some of them did.

ya when I see them do shit like that it pisses me off, it's one thing if you asked for a inspection and it's another if you just wanted to have one thing done real quick and be on your way and there out ******* around measuring your brake pads and shit, like Mf I just wanted this done real quick not sit here and wait for you to **** around and find some excuse or break something.

Other shop rounded out the new bleeder.View attachment 265023 View attachment 265024
WTH is with the shops in your area? Are they going to fix those ridiculous weights on the wheels? I wouldn’t let them get away with that.

Good Lord man! You definitely need to keep your eye on all these clowns. Rounding the new bleeder...? Wtf?

When I took mine in for an alignment (first time to that shop), they did their “safety check”, without asking me, as it’s part of their “service”.

So the guy comes at me with something like 2500 in needed repairs.. this was shortly after I had bought the truck. I needed tires, a new windshield, etc...

I said thanks, these things will be addressed, but not through your alignment shop!

So a few days later, when I pop the hood, notice my brake fluid reservoir is missing the cap. Those jackasses “checked over” all this BS, and managed to lose the damn cap. I went back there and lit them up. They paid for the OEM replacement, and I know any time I go in for an alignment, to specifically decline their BS “safety check”. They are the best alignment shop in town, or I wouldn’t have gone back. My mechanic convinced me to let them do that part..

shops by you must have a hard time finding good help, shit like that is all unacceptable. damn bleeders are simple open wrench, tell me thy dont have that on hand? pliers are a last ditch effort on a old bleeder, not a brand new one.

I used to get free tools from one shop, I swear every time I went there and I got home and was looking at my vehicle later I would find a tool or two, usually I gave them back whenever I passed by it was pretty much a running joke, happened several times.

That's too much weight. Do you know if they tried to reposition that tire on the wheel? When they called for that much I would break both beads and spin the tire 180 on the wheel to see if it helped. It usually did. I would not accept that.
100% correct. I get so pissed when I see that much weight on a rim. I ask the guy if it’s his first day then teach the retard how to do it correctly.

I'm finally done---They didn't give me a print out of the redone alignment, which makes me think they're hiding something. They said the alignment was as best they can get it, he said there's play in my steering box--but it drives and tracks much better. They also removed all that weight from the front tire.

The brake pedal is 100% better, but the abs pump still kicks in when you're almost fully stopped. I'm not getting any abs codes either. Truck has set for at least a year, and I know the nbs have issues with them--so I'm not totally sure if anyone messed it up, could just be it was time for the pump...? Maybe.....Idk. I'm just glad I'm outta there--4 hrs later.

Guessing that pic was pre-weight / balance correction?

What the hell. I have never had an alignment done without getting a damn printout!? Wtf!?
How’s the steering feel? Is it loose? Lot of play?
