You couldn't accurately count a single-digit number of wheel spokes so it's no surprise you got lost counting above 20. You have numbers tattooed on your fingers and toes, don't you? That would explain being lost above 20.

Also got beehive springs along with the seals. Gonna sell those since I don't need them. Mine are great.

Yeah definitely need to install the new seals. I think @Tonyrodz was just talking about selling the springs and not the seals right Tony?
Edit: we were both posting at the same time so I didn’t see your answer Tony. I guess you should be ok, how many miles on those seals? My only question would be how much metal was in the oil, it might have damaged them. If it was me I would install the new seals while the heads are off, it’s a half hour job.

Definitely! New seals, and same springs, if they’re the ones you want. I kinda think I’d use the new springs as well unless they’re inferior to your previous ones.

This. As I stated a few posts back. Already there. Might as well start fresh and new.

I'm reusing the complete heads, so I won't need the new seals or springs.

if doing the same cam you had before, you'd be a fool to not either buy new springs, or reuse the old ones off your blown engine. you're asking for trouble using the old stock crap with a aftermarket cam. and while the springs are off, do the new seals. cheap insurance.

I think he meant he was using the heads off of his old engine which already had upgraded springs etc.

I'm reusing the heads from my old motor. I just found out I have dual springs, and they sent me the wrong seals.

Dropped the cam off today.
So I'm just gonna swap the new springs--beehive--and the seals to my buddy, for some $$ off the labor. F* it. Old motor never smoked on start up either.

I was wondering because with the cams in both my trucks they specified dual springs which can’t use that style of seals because they would interfere with the inner spring. Sounds like you’ll be fine. Any idea on the timeline to get it finished?

He says he has 2 "quick" motor jobs in front of me--then mine. I'm like a little kid over here!!
On another note:
