Debating whether or not I want to powder coat the rims on my 2001 z71. Already debadged, tinted the windows, fixed a bunch of minor stuff, and soon I'm going to black out my taillights and the orange on my headlights. This isn't my 'hoe but this is what it (and more specifically the rims) looks like:

I can get all 4 wheels done for $200, just not sure whether or not it will look good.

Any other opinions?

I'll be painting the bowtie black as well as blacking out the taillights as I stated above which is why I'd like to have black wheels to match. I'd buy new rims and tires but can't spend that much currently.

I'd also like to paint all the gray on the truck (fenders, bottom of the bumper, etc) but I'm not sure how difficult it would be or how much it would cost to have done professionally.

Think it would look tacky or what? Definitely don't want to spend the money only to have it look like crap... might just keep an eye on craigslist for a decent set of rims/tires in the $500 price range. :\

Very tacky IMO
I feel ya. Thanks for the input fellas. Leaning towards no but would love to see if anyone has powder coated these exact wheels for a final decision.

I just think the design of the rims wouldn't look good black because everything is so bunched up and it's a small rim

I had a dark green z71 tahoe with those exact rims and powder coated the rims black. It looked great IMO...
