Afternoon, I picked up a 2001 Yukon SLT w/ tow package, 5.3L V8 w/ 209,000 on the clock. Truck is an absolute beast. Has 265/70/R16 Firestone destination tires on. They look small and not proportionate to the size of the vehicle. I'd like a taller tire but have gotten mixed messages as to what will fir right on w/o modification. Would 275/70/R16 fit right on? LMK and thank you

It may be a worthwhile adventure to cruise around Craigslist, or even Facebook marketplace, and find someone taking off some new take offs.

Additional, for your 2001, you can use any Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade, Sierra, Silverado, from 2000 up to 2019. I am not sure of the 2020+.

The most common swap is the Snowflake, or snowflake repros. I do think they look good, but I dont have a pic handy to show you.

The advantage here is that you can loose your 16" wheels, and go all the way up to 22" on OEM rims. Aftermarket, the list is endless. I saw a guy today that had some 36" wheels on his Tahoe.

Might also check the for sale section here on the forum. I know there was a guy selling a set of brand new rims and tires, aftermarket, that looked cool as $hit!

Welcome to the Forum from NH.

Lots of knowledgeable folks here who freely share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Knowledge is power.

I hope that you will become a participating member in the Forum's discussions.

Pics of the truck, please.

Where do you plan to drive the truck? Pavement only, or combination of pavement and off-roading, and if off-roading, what kind of off-roading? This type of information should be considered, when thinking about changing tire and/or wheel sizes.
