Hello everyone, picked up an '02 Z71 Tahoe.
It looks like the wheels measure 8.5" width (photo below).
I was wondering if it's possible to run a 33x12.50 tire on these Tahoes if I level the front up a bit. Depending on offset, I was unsure if these run with 12.50's or not. I assume with a level the 33" is ok?IMG_20231202_162714932.jpg

I can't answer your question but those look like OE 17x7.5" wheels. If you pull one off the size and offset will be on the backside.

Yea it was hard to get a proper measurement with them mounted, looked like 8.5 but may just be 7.5 though. I'll take one off tomorrow and see what it says. Are 33x12.50 or maybe 33x11.50 pretty easy to fit on these? Or does it really just depend on what rim it is?

You should be able to see the width and offset specs on the inner side of the wheel without removing it. You may have to rotate the wheel a bit, so that the markings are on the bottom for easier viewing.

My OE wheel wasn't t like that on my '04. They're on the back side of one of the spokes. YMMV

I was going to check that today but I ended up not having time, maybe tomorrow I can get it took off and see what it says.
Did Chevrolet have any 8.5 or 9" stock wheels back in this time on the SUV's, or was that not even a thing?

It's definitely a 7.5, found the window sticker in the glove box. Not sure on offset though, I'll have to check that still. But with a 7.5, I can probably only go 11.5 wide anyway, which I would think should clear everything without rubbing. I may just have to watch the height. If 33's will work, I may just go with a 33x11.50

I'd look at a 285/70r17 - this is a very common 33" size that will work with cranked keys.

Looks like an 11.2 wide, that's pretty close. I'm not sure if I could go any wider or if the next ones up are too wide. That may be about right for my setup then
