$70K for a Burb LTZ with 22s and sun/destinations package ... that's steep.

Can get a current base ESV for that.

How accurate are "online builds" and the actual price you pay at a dealer for a vehicle off the lot?

It depends ... usually at the beginning of a model cycle dealerships are a lot more firm on MSRP. For example they're offering almost no discount on the new V8 Silverados/Sierras, only the V6s cause no one is buying them.

But even if you discount them $5K down the line, with taxes and everything else they're still going to be $70 out the door, which quite honestly is insane. Like I said, that's the MSRP of what a base ESV has been the last few years.

Not many soccer moms can drop $70K on a burb, an Escalade yes but not a burb ... it's just too much money for the branding.

I can't imagine what they're going to be asking for a 15 Esky Premium.

I know I wouldn't pay $70k for a burb! An Esky probably but not a burb

This is insane. Imo

No way I would spend that. So this must mean them at the new trucks when used will price out higher too.

They'll just depreciate faster  no way a chevrolet suburban or gmc Yukon can hold that value

Must be. I can't see it either.

I'm going to see what the top end Eskys come out to ... but I'm going to be honest and say that at this point, if they decide to get stupid with their prices I'm going to reserve a Model X. Yup, I said it.
