We'll see what Esky looks like, but for now a Denali XL (with the 6.2, power step, and better interior) demolded dechromed to look like this SLT, with colrmatched D pillars, is the cleanest look for me:

Okay, slap on some 22s or 24s and a little drop and I'm good now. :)

Still feeling the Toyota in there. Ah well.

I have to say I really like the GMC. I really want to see what Esky comes out with.

Did anyone notice that the max towing capacity for the Yukon/XL is less with the 6.2 (Denali) than the 5.3? That makes no sense at all.

I'm loving them more and more as I keep looking at all the pics. Tahoe front is already growing on me. Everyone hated the 07 when they came out, yet that's what half the members on here own. It'll grow on some of us. I still wouldn't ever buy a Ford over it!

I think it has to do something with the auto ride system capabilities. Not the frame strength or drivetrain capabilities

I'm guessing its somehow related to the standard wheel size and weight (18's versus 20'). But that is just a guess.

So this:

Front: independent coil-over-shock; twin-tube shock absorbers
Rear: solid axle with semi-elliptic, variable-rate, two-stage multileaf springs; splayed shock absorbers

Will make it easier or harder to drop?
Or not harder or easier just different?

The rear of the GMT900 was so easy to drop it couldn't get any easier so I'll assume harder on the rear for the new ones.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they went back to leaf spring  Seems like a step back to me.
