I'm new to this Forum. My '93 2DR. is getting a 5.3L & I thought as long as we were in there maybe move to a 3000 torque converter & take a look at the trans. Has anyone here made that modification with success? Any info/direction you can provide is appreciated. I'm in Arizona. Thanks.

Transmission performance

My '93 has the 4L60e. After looking around here it seems a lot is being done with shift kits, Corvette servo's. Then Blk Bear tunes where performance can be found. Maybe those are my better options.

check this stall out, and get an aftermarket tranny cooler. Chris can dial you in, huge gains!
Get it in a 3200 stall, it's a modified TB stall, but huge gains in power and throttle response.

I would do a complete rebuild with new frictions and steels with a high quality shift correction kit and Vette servos. That's what I did with mine an I am very happy. My stall is alot lower though, you'll want a huge cooler and probably a good aftermarket pan.

I'm in Mesa. For this Yukon work I plan on using the shop in Tempe that works on my Vette. I get to hang around in back and pitch in. Its great. Who are you working with out Kingman way? Everybody have a good Labor Day weekend.

I did my transmission myself, we have a shop in town that's pretty good, he pressed the new bushings in for me when I needed it ... everything else was done in my garage.
