So I purchased a k&n intake off Craigslist it came from a 06 Sierra but when I tried to install it, it wouldn't fit is their anyway I can make it fit

What`s not fitting? Everything should be the same.

When I go to put I on the throttle body it won't go in because the fan is in the way the intake came off a 06 Sierra

I`m not 100 percent sure but i think i read that some guys have trimmed their fan shroud to fit the elbow from the throttle body.

I have the plastic one but even if I trimmed the plastic above the fan the fan would hit it

With the fan on the way its a tight fit but it will fit! Just gotta wiggle it in

I've tried it and it won't fit the intake was off a 06 Sierra so I I don't know if theirs a difrence from a intake on an 04 tahoe

K&N part number for 06 sierra is 57-3050, and for 04 tahoe is 57-3023-1. these sites have application listings:

they both seem to have the same applications, but they share some and don't share others...
