Redlight challenge begins with me letting the Explorer in the left lane get a fender ahead before I jam the skinny/go fast pedal to the bottom and smoke the ford product in less than 3 seconds.

Winning!

Shouldn't it be against an eco boost Expedition. Then you have legitimate bragging rights. No fun against a pep squeak explorer compared to your Tahoe.
I’d give it a go if the chance presents its self. Especially after I get tuned. Maybe a before and after comparison would be cool.

I knew what it would be because I'm a teenager :D. But funny story the day before yesterday I was headed to work and I was behind this Civic si and next to me was a 2013 generation V6 mustang. He was trying to run down the Civic and I was keeping up with him and eventually passed him

Read the thread title expecting to see some kind of carnage from a fender bender.....much disappoint :okay2:
Id be rather sad I think. This is much different than the days in my big block Corvettes, Chevelles, and 66 Chevy II (402), but just as fun.

If you line up against an ecoboost, you will get your doors blown off. Even if it is a fullsize pickup truck.
Maybe after a BB tune it won’t be too bad.

Redlight challenge begins with me letting the Explorer in the left lane start going, get a fender ahead so he doesnt know we're racing before I jam the skinny/go fast pedal to the bottom and smoke the ford product in less than 3 seconds because by the time he reacts it's a lost cause

Winning?

All in jest, but I had to...

My roommate's 2016 explorer sport with the 3.5 Ecoboost will keep up with me and eventually pull away from me after 80mph in my 09 6.2 Tahoe, and it's BB tuned. Turbos are hard to beat, haha

I know a fire department that has a few eco boost explorers as quick response vehicles. They will smoke all 4 tires on dry pavement.

Our ‘13 Exp Sport will easily smoke my Tahoe with tow package and low gears. About the same hp and torque in 1000lb less wrapper, no contest. I give up about a second to 60.

Took on a Hemi Ram the other day and same story, same results. Wish I had a super, but probably good I don’t!

No details given of what Explorer, probably because it was something like this...
