Super charger advice

I want to put a super charger on my 2012 Yukon. Been looking into whipple. Any advice.

Also is all I need is the super charger ? Will I have to add other mods ?

I did a Magnusen tsv1900. Pretty thorough and install was easy. I installed mine with nothing but hand tools, no air tools.

Making 320 at the wheels. Stock dyno is about 170ish range so I'm roughly 145ish hp gain @ 7lbs boost

I've looked into both for awhile now-Maggie is close to plug and play and a cleaner install for most.

Maggie doesn't have 4.5 gallon tank. 8ve now,installed both and sell Maggie's also. Trust me on this the 2.9 Whipple on the new trucks is a much better deal

They are asking for 07-14. 2.3 and 2.9 would not be needed for an engine smaller than a 6.2L.

Whipple 2.3 plus smog legal.. Maggie 2.3 not smog legal. I had a 1900 then upgraded to a 2300 on my old truck. 2300 much better across the board

We too have had blowers on plenty of DDs, sell all major brand name blowers, have sold hundreds of FI setups and tuned thousands of FI customer vehicles.

Short list of our most recent personal vehicles:

2015 Chevy SS: Whipple 2.9
2013 Denali XL: TVS2300, meth
2013 Silverado 6.2L: TVS 1900, headers
2008 TBSS: TVS1900
2004 Z71 Tahoe: Radix 112, headers, cam
2003 Silverado SS: TVS1900, headers, cam, head swap
1972 K5 Blazer: TVS2300, 6.0L swap, headers, cam

SMOG legality aside (even though TVS2300 will be SMOG legal soon), as many States don't have to worry about that, all major brand name blowers will net huge gains over stock with some having a higher price tag. For the OPs consideration, more than a sales pitch is needed.

Some minor things to point out:

-Whipple is considerably more expensive than the TVS1900
-TVS1900 will not be overtaxed and will be well in its efficient operating range
-TVS1900/2300 is a considerably easier installation than the Whipple
-Coolant tank: IATs are comparable between Whipple and Magnacharger
-Both Whipple and Magnacharger make very nice kits that any customer would be happy with

EDIT: Even though this thread is for 07-14, the TVS2300 is SMOG legal for 2014+.

I see no data, the OP has a 5.3L.

To that end, our 1900 6.2L keeps up with our 2300 6.2L.....dyno graphs from many other sources, show this as well.

On a 5.3 trail blazer 2300 vs 1900. The 2300 made more power across the board on a truck we set up last year.

Same boost
Same 91 crappy gas
2300 made 30/40 at wheels across the board and I at Temps stayes lower on the pass on dyno. Oh shop was 9 degrees cooler with 1900 run. (Edit)

Both are good blowers but if your going to do it once either magna charger or Whipple move to the 2300.
