Stock navigation in non nav truck...i know i know

I tried searching this topic and 4 hours into my searches i was more confused when i started. I have a 2005 LT with bose, no idea if it's lux or not or if it matters with my year or whatever but can anyone tell me if this head unit will work with my truck? Or what questions i need to ask? I'm lost on this topic, and it's not important enough for me to do too much work to get it to work. I jus want to know if i can plug it in, maybe get it unlocked or whatever, and just go.

first off that looks like a nav unit from an 01-03 (non touch screen non lux) so i dont think it will work

second, the denali escalades are the only trucks to have the lux amp AFAIK.....so you should have the non lux unit

Factory Navs for the GMT800's didnt start until 03. Any non-lux unit (touch screen or not) from 03-06, 07 classic will work for the OP.

The craigslist ad listed will work for him. Just depends on whether he wants touch screen or not.

What does the dealership usually charge to reset the theftlock to the new vin?

Followed the guide in this link, simple swap!! Now i hope the dealer doesn't give me any problems relearning my vin.

If the dealer give you problems there is a guy on Flea..Bay that can do it. I used him its about 75 dollars but he did a good job for me and unlock the radio i bought.
