went to start it today and she would just crank a little but like it was not getting enough power to where it wouldnt crank at all. it did this before last week too. i had to jump it today. my neighbor said it might be my batt or alt. the volt meter doesnt read but only like half between the 9 and 14. is it getting enough charge or not? do you think its the alt. how do i see if i have a 105a or a 140a. i want to upgrade it now if i have to get new one to a high output one for when i do stereo later and wire up my offroad lights

u can take the batt out and get it tested at a local auto parts, kragen napa autozone.. and if it test bad then get a new one if it test good it could be a bad alt, but id start with checking the connections off everything, and if u have a volt tester u can test everything ur self

If you can drive to autozone they can actually test the battery right in the car. I had the exact same symptoms that you are having and it was a bad battery.

Double check the cables, battery and amp. I had a similar problem. It turned out that I had a bad diode on the amp. It does not hurt to just check it all.

unknown at this time.
If three of you in the same neighborhood are having the same problems I would not rule out a combinationation of cold weather, corrosion and having or being sold inferior batteries.

check all the connections to the batt, alt and starter.
and u said u dont drive it that much?
thats a possible problem, the most harm u can do to a car is not driving it

agreed with clean95, any connection.
pull post and clean them, wire ends, to make sure they are not corroded.
