Don't really have a budget. I can afford the the Focal kr2's what I really wanted but, I just don't see myself spending that much. I have other home projects I would rather see that kind of money go to. So I guess I would like to stay in the 230ish area. That is why I was thinking B.A. and just wanted some opinions.

Now Tracy are you going by price or do these speakers your posting actually put out good sound quality?

IMHO, everyone has different taste, and the tweeters vary on most of those along with crossover points, and tweeter harsh/smoothness.

Me, I suggest listening to a bunch of them, but as far as brands good, fitting your budget, those fit the bill.

But remember, each has good characteristics, some you may not like. Go out and listen to as many as you can, let your ears decide.

But if you want to buy and go, any of those are good components.

yea isnt it like same outside diameter of the mount.. larger speaker cone though.. i think .25 inch and words like oversized are really just kinda a sales thing over actual function.. but then again i have no idea.

no, 6 3/4 is an OEM size, not really sales tactic.
There are 6.5", and 6.75". Most manufactures had to adapt to OEM vehicle drop in solutions.

I'm running the Kicker KS650.2 in every door and they sound hard and crisp. I ran Focals in the Tahoe and loved them, would've gone with Focal in the Lade too but I got a great deal in the kickers. Overall I guess it depends on what type of music you like and what type of power are you throwing at the speakers.

yea, the KS is a great addition, but it has a titanium dome tweeter, a little on the more harsh side, as where the RS and QS Kickers have a silk dome, alot smoother, like the Focals.

well i just learned something
it's also like the 5x7 and 6x8, they are identical, just different mounting tabs, but some manu's sell them as individual, when they are the same :)

I've been out for some days and see the thread went on but no positive feedback on the Boston Acoustic SR60.

Overall I guess it depends on what type of music you like and what type of power are you throwing at the speakers.

I have no amp at the moment for the mids and highs. I figured I get the speaker and match and amp up to what I need. Or should I be looking for an amp and matching speakers to it?
I listen to different types of music. Some old rock but mostly I listen to Rap and Spanish music. Gotta have a good Narco Corrido rolla from time to time.
I like to hear the music. Clean and clear. This is gonna be harder than I thought. I guess it's like (blueflamed03 said Go out and listen to as many as you can, let your ears decide.) Thx. for the feedback guys.
