What’s the best speaker brand to upgrade with in a 01 Tahoe? I’m looking for sound quality and price point. I’m starting with the doors.

I’ve always had good luck with Rockford fosgate door speakers.
I’ve also ran Memphis audio
I just recently tried the new “down4sound” door speakers and they are good too but more so a full build type speaker so without an amp they can’t reach their full potential and sound quality.
For a stock type audio build just get the Memphis or Rockford

If you are looking at 'significantly' upgrading your sound, speakers alone won't do it justice, unless your current speakers are blown. As @Trey Hardy stated above, better speakers typically need more power to run them for full sound reproduction (not simply volume).

My recommendation is: (1) determine your total budget for this upgrade project; (2) call Crutchfield and discuss your options in relation to your budget; (3) let Crutchfield Techs recommend a system upgrade that meets your budget, which will most likely include speakers, a remote amp, and an interface unit, so that you can maintain all steering wheel controls, (4) make your decision, and if you purchase, install.

I have no direct relationship with Crutchfield, but I have found them to be incredibly knowledgeable, and will work with you within your budget, and their prices are competitive.
