Yep...i just researched...my bad. I didn't know there was a difference...now I do!! Is it safe to just bump up to the nearest pound? 4lbs or am I better off at 3lbs? My wrench is mechanical dial harbor freight special...not a digital snap on or craftsman type.

Oops. Not the first time I’ve seen this. If you torqued your intake manifold bolts to 44 ft lbs you might have wrecked it. It’s plastic and not meant for that kind of force.
Manifold is fine...snapped the bolt in two. Got the piece out of head...now just need a new bolt.

Yup. That big one isn’t accurate to these values. You better look real close for cracks in that manifold. If it starts causing problems at least you’ll know why but I for one hate chasing leaks, they’re hard to find. I don’t want to scare you but that’s a huge amount of stress you put that through. I’d be leery about installing it myself.
