Sounds but little feel at the steering wheel.

Only thing I can cause to reproduce it is 40MPH at 1000RPM.

Where to from here?

No codes.

Does it do it on acceleration and deceleration both? Or just one or the other?

Seems only off the gas. So coming to a stop, letting off gas, it runs the downshifts, stutters and I see the 40/1000.

Well, that's about as slow as we can go in 6th gear. Torque converter clutch? How many miles are on your trans and fluid? WEll, I'm presuming you have a 6-speed, who is the patient?

I'm at 121k. Owned since 96k.

No work I did. Doubt PO did any.

I have all the fluids for transfer cases and trans, with filter.

Just a curious question. On the old 700R4's if you had a TCC going out on you and shuddering you could unplug it and run it without it. Is that possible on the newer trans's we have?

They go into trans limp mode without the TCM hooked up or if the fuse blows on it. (Don’t ask me how I know) It’s not a good place to be if you want to get anywhere fast.
