2002 Yukon 5.3, 2wd. Rebuilt transmission and new TC around 25k miles ago. Recently put on new tires (Yokohama Geolander) about 10k miles. Warranty is up on transmission rebuild of course. Tires have been rotated twice, and rebalanced twice. Front end has been looked at twice, finding nothing wrong.
Yukon has developed this shudder at the speeds of 45-55 mph which unfortunately is my majority speeds. If I quickly accelerate through it there is not always an issue.
I’ve searched and I find out of balance, people needing new transmissions, TC, or ??? Am I really going to have to put a new transmission in this again?
My other issue is a seal (the animal) type noise (as my youngster calls it) coming from the area of the passenger rear tire area. This has been recent and is noticeable at a stop, but not at speeds over 15-20 mph. Any thoughts? I’m not sure if it’s related.
