Height isnt determined by shocks, the springs do. As long as the travel distance of the shocks is the same as factory you can go with any brand.

I believe the DELCO# 540-460 is for non-autoride tahoes (which ppv's are I believe). Autoride was only found in LTZ's. Dont quote me, but it makes sense as to why the other struts are so expensive.

Those part numbers starting with 193 are the auto ride shocks I believe. I could be wrong but I just ordered new shocks for my 2006 Denali and the auto ride part numbers started with 193 as well. You should be looking for the 207 designations.

I'd suggest searching Rockauto.com They will show which package applies to which strut.... and if your asking, yes, Struts up front (spring over strut), and shock in the rear (independent shock w/ leaf springs).

As far as your sore butt.... its the spring/shackle set up on the PPV trucks, they aren't soft, they are meant for handling.

This is for rear shocks...
AC Delco is 540297 (long # 15935565) $58.79 each
or
KYB "performance'' 565125 for $74.79
http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/....3l+v8,2002727,suspension,shock+absorber,7556
For front Struts (I believe the PPV is suspension code is ZW7?)
KYB ''GR2'' 34149 $79.79
KYB "Gas-A-Just" 551121 $84.89
KYB "MonoMax" 564004 $92.99

http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/chevrolet,2010,tahoe,5.3l+v8,2002727,suspension,strut,7584
This was the only thing I could find when crossing the factory GM number for the front struts...
which is 20765177

ACDELCO 54050 $113.79

Going to gmparts with vin will get you exact replacements but, you have to use your vin. Get part numbers and go from there.

I got Bell Techs adjustable struts. For two reasons 1.) firm ride 2.) to lower it

Our Tahoe's don't have shackles. We have parallel 4 link with pan hard bars and coil springs.

To relieve yourself from sore butt syndrome, start with the free travel mod.
