Check the connectors under the seats. They may have become corroded or a terminal may have come loose. Don't know how, but they do. Our techs work on those quite often. BTW, depending on how old, or your mileage, it may be covered under warranty.
I know when I bought the truck some years ago the message popped up on a test drive .so the dealership said they had to replace the passenger seat which they did and never had a problem with it till a couple days ago ill check connections and update
