I found this today. I’m sure the harness got caught when I was moving the seat back and forth. The airbag light is now on and this harness is ripped.

Is the airbag actually non operational right now? And how can I fix this ?

I would guess the best option is to chop one out of the junkyard and wire it in to replace the damage harness, just get some length of wire with the one from the junkyard the wires are all color coded so kind of hard to get it wrong. and I would say yes the airbag and whatever else is probably not functional until it is repaired.
