I ran a can thru a tank of gas last week and added a can to my crankcase during an oil change. I didn't get all the smoke that everyone says you get from the engine add but we will see if it helps. Advance auto had it on sale 2 for 1

Depending on how many miles/how old your truck is, will be a factor in how much crap you get removed from there. I have an 06 and got a small amount but nothing like you see on youtube with these huge clouds. As for the OP, I'm not sure there is anyone here that is against it. Seafoam has been around much longer than most of the members on this board. It's formulated to not mess up your sensors or cause internal damage. Now if you get some sort of fault code as a result, it's probably because you dislodged a piece of crap from somewhere in your system and it got caught up on a sensor or blocked it. To that I say run it through a second time.

If you use the product correctly, it works great. Must let the vaccum line suck up half the can, shut engine off and leave it sit for 15-20 minutes, then go for a ride.

Will be a huge plume of smoke for a few blocks.

you do it about 300 to 500 miles before an oil change, then when you change the oil all the crap that the seafoam cleans up will come out with the oil change.

Seems easy enough. Where is this vacuum line at? Anyone have any pics?

stuff is GREAT! I have put it in my gas, crank case, and Vac line... only complaint I have heard that makes sense is the possible build up it creates on the pluggs. I did not have a problem with that though.

So adding this to my tank will clean the injectors? In the oil will clean the crank case? What does it clean if you use the vacuum line at the rear of the engine? Manifold maybe?

Yes. Yes, crankcase and anywhere the oil gets to (including the upper valve train). Try to put it into a vacuum line that will allow the seafoam to be evenly distributed like a vacuum line that is in the middle of the manifold (like the PCV valve line). And it should clean the inside of the intake manifold, intake ports, and intake valves. You should be good.

It only cleans the injectors if you put it in the gas tank. If you suck it through vacuum line then it cleans the carbon buildup in the intake manifold.

I wish someone else on here was in Alaska...I need someone to show me what the hell the vac line is....

I can, however, find my own gas tank.

Hmm.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?

I think I'll hold off for now. The last thing I need is car problems.
