Sand blasting my grill

I have a sand blaster, I want to color match my grill with a billet bowtie, the chrome is peeling in several places, what is the best media to use that will remove all of the chrome?

If your talking about the factory grille, that's plastic. Maybe use walnut shells, if you go much coarser than that you'll end up eating that alive. I think you'd be better off hand sanding it with 220 to knock the flakes off and scuff it up for primer. Hit it with a couple coats of high build primer, smooth out the primer with 320 and paint it with whatever you want from there.
