Rotor / Pad Recommendations?

Actually an aggressive pad is what I want. I can deal with brake dust (my European cars already make tons), and I’d rather be safe.

Look @ semi metallics then. More initial bite. More noise/dust potential though.

So I'm thinking PowerSlot drilled / slotted rotors and Akebono Performance pads... thoughts? Any sense in rebuilding the pistons at 170k? They seem to work fine.

Take a look at DOT edge codes for brake pads. Sometimes hard to find, but will tell you a lot about performance without all the marketing ****.

At 170k i'd either rebuild or replace imho. Cheap insurance.

While were on the subject of what to replace @ 170k, I'd be looking real closely @ the brake hoses too. Stainless steel ones are not much more expensive than quality rubber ones FYI.
