Ok so heres the situation. I have an 08 Yukon Denali with an aftermarket double din Pioneer head unit. I replaced the stock NAV unit with this. I hooked up the Pioneer unit to the stock backup camera system with an adapter that connects to the stock harness (adds a camera RCA input).
I am planning to install an iPad in the dash. I would be removing the Pioneer head unit and replacing with a smaller single din unit probably mounted in the arm rest compartment or somewhere else.
Since I already have the backup camera RCA input I would assume this is a simple install. I was looking at one of these OEM setups which retains on star and the temp gauge. Has anyone installed a unit like this? Seems like a basic install.
