Might try Q-Bond. It worked great on my driver's master switch screw mount.

Well…. More adventure time in the Nali…. Back to back road trips this week.
So the couple that owns the convention center where I taught line dancing for many years are good friends. The wife reached out back in November with “I’m looking to buy a Yukon and everyone tells me I need to talk to you cuz apparently you’re like the local GM expert… lol. , what are the pros and cons, here’s the year range I’m looking at.” She wanted a 2018 or 2019 or 2020. We talked about a lot and she wanted a Denali but was looking at lots of trim options. Then she was set on buying a SWB but wasn’t finding what she wanted. Her husband had already suggested an XL, but she hadn’t made up her mind. Let her drive the road tank last week and when she realized it wasn’t harder to maneuver she was sold on the extra length and interior space. So she found a few options and the truck she liked most and was the best deal was out in Henderson, NV. She asked if I’d be willing to go look at it with her because she couldn’t decide if she wanted to just have it shipped here and buy. Right away I said “no don’t ship it, let’s take a day and go out there and I can look it over really well for you.” She’s like “ok that might work.” And she paid for my time today and all my fuel which was pretty cool. So we finally got everything in order and drove out this morning. My Nali ran great all the way to Vegas and back and we had fun. She picked up a gorgeous 2018 XL Denali with just under 33k on the clock. One owner truck that was originally sold in Oregon new. Truck is in good shape, no rust or paint issues. No accidents or serious damage in the cardiac report. It ran great as I put it through its paces. Suspension and steering was nice and tight. 10 speed trans shifted smoothly. Everything functioned as it should, and she was pretty happy about the purchase. Forgot to put the trip computer to zero on my Nali when I left. Reset it when we left Henderson to head home. A touch over 400 miles round trip on the truck today. First photo was on a quick pit stop at Primm, NV.

At the AutoNation dealer in Henderson. My beat up going on 17 year old, 176 thousand mile truck still looks pretty damn good even up against a newer one. Lol. Love that I can get in and drive it 400 miles round trip and not worry about the truck leaving me stranded anywhere.

Also the truck got an interesting grill emblem change up. Not sure how I feel about it. Was supposed to be carbon fiber painted look, but it just didn't come out as dark as I’d hoped. But I kinda like it. I don’t know. I’ll live with it for a bit and see how I feel. Mammoth lakes bound tomorrow with our family friend Dorothy. Apparently the second Jeep is leaving early so she freaked out and was like “um I think we can’t make my Jeep work if the second one is going early…..” so we’re taking the Nali and I’m not gonna lie I’m gonna be a bit puffed up and maybe a touch bit of bragging about the fact that my 176 thousand mile can make the trip to mammoth with ease lol.

Yeah I sprayed a little heavy handed with clear. Lol. But looking at it today while we were driving up to mammoth I liked the look lol.

Well the mammoth trip has been interesting. Had a bit of a rough start to the trip yesterday. Dorothy had a bad morning yesterday and then I was a little late getting the truck packed and out the door to her house to load up. I had to stay at the ranch Friday night, load all my stuff up and go home, unload and reload the truck all early yesterday morning. She was a bit harsh with me yesterday but I had to be a little more frank with her and be like “no don’t treat me that way”. About two hours into the drive nearing the highway 395/58 intersection, which we call 4 corners, I realized I had left my season pass in my uniform jacket for work after working extra days teaching on the slopes this week. That didn’t help things either but at that point there wasn’t turning back to get my pass so I just said to heck with it make the drive and I’ll figure it out later. Thankfully truck ran smooth all the way with no issues. Doing decently on fuel economy.
Got into town and checked into our condo about 3:30 and roads were clear which was good after all the snow they’ve been getting. It’s crazy how much snow is up here right now.
Mammoth resort’s HR printed me a new pass this morning with no fuss so thankfully I was able to get out on the snow and not have to pay $240 a day for lift tickets.
Had fun riding. A little icy here and there but mostly good snow. Windy, cold, and been snowing off and on all day. But the next two days should be pretty good riding. Unfortunately this afternoon one of the guys slipped and fell on the ice leaving canyon lodge at the resort about 4pm this afternoon. We got him to the condo and then decided after dinner with how much pain I he was in and possible concussion that we needed to take him to the ER to get checked out. So I’m getting familiar with the first time with mammoth’s hospital. Trucks chillin out in the working lot while I wait in the lobby. I could head back to the condo but the other older gent on the trip that’s good friends with Dorothy and tony( who fell and got hurt) is less stressed out knowing I’m just hanging out in the waiting area while he’s back with Tony. First pic is me with the black and red plaid patterned helmet cover. And then our friend M-I-C-K(why can’t I type that normally what’s offensive anbout his name?! WTF!!!!)
and his girlfriend Arielle. They’re about my age ish and super fun peeps to be friend with, met through Dorothy.

Crazy fun day on the snow today. Resort got close to a foot of snow up near the top and a solid 6-8 inches around the rest of the resort.
Conquered a really cool off trail run underneath a steep lift on the back side of the top sort of the resort. Pretty steep chute leading down past a big wall of volcanic rock, and then it crosses a cat track and into some more trees before coming out at the bottom of that chairlift. Always thought it would be fun to ride this run but didn’t have the confidence to do it. But the fact that there was so much snow this trip made me send it! Attached video I took of my run was fun.

M-I-C-K brought the GoPro out today and got some good footage this morning playing in the powder. His girlfriend Arielle is skiing in purple and I’m in the navy blue jacket and off white snow pants.
