Having to drive through state line at the California/Nevada border on a Sunday afternoon was an absolute shit show.....
good god it was like the Wild West... people driving all over the place trying to get around the traffic jam of having to slow down for the border crossing. Which was so dumb because they literally just waived everyone through....
but anyways, here was the finally mileage tally when I pulled back into my driveway, just before 7pm!

Sometimes. Though its usually just to enforce regular vehicles not bringing in commercial size truckloads of agricultural products. It’s pretty simple. I hadn’t been out of state since last October when I flew privately so I didn’t know what was going on. I panicked a little bit, when I saw the massive back log of traffic, thinking they were looking for proof of recent negative covid tests to allow entry into the state. It was NOTHING of the sort. So I don’t know what they were looking forward but as we slowed and went through the booths they just waived all the cars through. It was so unnecessary and redundant. I’m like seriously. That just cost me an hour of drive time....They do some kind of State border crossing enforcement?
way to go California.... way to go....

What was your avg mpg on the Utah trip? Beautiful scenery.

Bummer man. That stinks. I’m sure you were still able to have fun with all that fresh powder though!Welp.... mammoth was kind of a bust..... didn’t pass the ride exam. And I’m not gonna lie.... I wanted to bring home that win so bad....but I’m not giving up yet! The benefit to being a stubborn mother-trucker.... lol
Anyways grabbed a couple shots of the truck this morning before pulling out of mammoth:

Apparently the name mammoth lakes has nothing to do with woolly mammoths lol. Never been mammoths or fossils there ever... haha
