So the ones I went with don't have the cooling fans. They are the ones with the little copper braided tassel like things that cool. Haha. Supposedly they work bust as well. We will have to see about how they fit if I order the depo housings. I'm seriously considering it but I really like my current housings. But the light output isn't all that great comparitevly.

Those are the ones I have. Imo, much better as you can maneuver them any way you need to.

Got some new toys for my Denali delivered yesterday and my headlight housings should be here today. Of course my Denali still isnt back yet from my transmission shop. I still don't even know what's wrong with it yet. He's had it for a week and a half and hasn't even looked at it yet. Ugh.........

Well gents I'm back in business. Picked up my denali from my Trans shop this afternoon and drove him home. It was done Friday actually, but had to double shifts friday-sunday so I used sick time to take the day off today and go down the mountain. Which was nice to not have to be teaching on the slopes in the snowstrom today. Anywho, apparently one of the valves in my transmission got stuck so the corresponding gear piston wasn't moving and not allowing my transmission to downshift manually. Weird.... but it's all fixed and I got fresh fluid out of it too. So I don't have to pay for that for another year. All done under my Trans warranty. So that makes me happy. And boy did I miss my denali the last 2 weeks. Lol.

Got lots of mods to do this week. My new depo headlights got delivered so gonna make my own led halos, and then mount the headlights. The depos look bad ass too! Remote starter to install hopeful soon, new courtesy lights I picked up from @95escahoe , and new foam for under my drivers seat lower cushion. Got new esky racks on the way I picked up from another member too, to replace my somewhat beat up chrome esky racks.

@05Single , the door lights. My drivers side lens is glued cuz it's broken and the led fell out of the socket. So replacing the drovers side, and then the passenger side is gonna go into the back seat passenger side to replace the useless reflector. Lol. Gonna run wires to it to be an actual light. And gotta find another courtesy light to put in the drivers side backseat door too.

Damn bro, all 4 of mine have lights. Crazy I think in 05 they just went away with the lighted rears.
I have a few extras but I plan on making custom crystal clear courtesy lights.
Ill let you know if I can spare you that drivers rear.
Have to dig them out first, probably not till next month spring time.

Interesting, all of the Denalis in the family I live with, all are 2003-2006, and none of them have 4 courtesy lights. Lol. Only 2. Weird. I wonder why they changed them.

Yeah I remember now my buddy has a 03 Sierra Denali and only front doors light up. My cousins fully loaded 06 Z71 only has the front door lights. So weird, wonder if there's existing plugs behind the doors in the harness...

I don't think there are any plugs behind the reflector. But I'm gonna check tomorrow. Wouldn't that be nice if something for once is going to be easy! Haha.

Glad to hear the transmission is back in business and covered under warranty.

My 06 rear doors are just reflectors. I do not recall seeing any plugs?

Wish they did light up though. And those damn reflectors both front and rear are just fragile as it is. I broke two and found replacements at the junkyard.

My 05 has lights in the front doors, and just reflectors in the back, i seen a thread on here about this before, you have to tap into the front ones and run the wires along the side and to the rear doors, i was going to maybe do it eventually. I remember reading something like it was too much load for the circuit with the standard bulbs so they took them out but if you use LEDs it will work fine. Think i seen that on a duramax forum.

Well I'll be changing that soon haha. Got my new seat foam done on my drivers seat this evening. That was an interesting project after finding out my seat doesnt go all the way forward and all the way back like it should. Another issue to tackle later..... but for now I'm happy with a comfy new seat haha. Pic of what i assume is the foam from the factory compared to the new one.

Also came home to another box on the deck. Love coming home to packages. My new roof rack is here. The plan was top open it up and check it out when I finished my seat, but ended up having dinner with the family that I live upstairs from. So cracking it open now.
