removing roof rack...blanking plate

I want to remove my roof rack. I have seen some people with the blanking plates that cover the holes in the roof.

where can I buy these?

You can see this guy has them on his, they look billet.

I am searching for the samething. I recently took mine off. And. Just have some screws I the holes...a cover for them would b great

Don't know for sure but most likely they are. Something else that may work is using a couple of the center trim pieces from a Suburban for the outers

they were $50 from stylintrucks because I only needed 4, they have a kit with 6 too

okay guys I got the billet covers, but theres no double sided tape or anything to hold them on....what did you use?

did you ever put those covers on??? i would think maybe silicone or something, it'll stick and clean up later.

I tried to remove the rack tonight and I either had the wrong tool/bit size or the bolts are frozen. I tried a T25.....is this correct or is it something else?.....right hand threads?

Probably rusted in there, gotta love the Torx bolts they used Soak em with some PB Blaster for a few days or tape up the area around them and drill them out. I think there's an insert pressed into the roof's sheet metal, so it could be spinning in there

I would use some clear silicone for attaching them, double sided tape would probably make them stick up enough for water to get under there

Thanks, its no spinning at all, they are frozen or tq to 200ft lbs LOL.

I hope I dont have to cut the rack off, kinda wanted to save it.

I recently took off my rack too. It was a t25 bit. ALL of them were extremely tite. But I got them all out but one of them on the passenger rear. I even tried to drill it n ez out it. No luck...I ended up jus pullin that bit*h out. These guys are correct in how these mount...they just kinda punched it through the sheetmetal. Definitley gonna get me some blanking plates...is stylin trucks tho only place u have seen them?
