That leather works looks great.

I put carpeted mats in the Tahoe. Black rubber nibs on the backside hold them in place great. I opted to have the bowtie for the front mats. It is a 4 piece set.

Here is the link to stockinteriors.com, specifically the floor mats section

https://www.stockinteriors.com/floormat.asp?Itemid=5380&ModelId=595

The embroidery was $35 and only at the time came in black. I also ordered the interior carpet kit when I redid the interior so the mats and carpet are a perfect match and only 1 shade darker than the OEM carpet on the back of my 2nd row seats. Love the mats and the carpet kit.

It looks a lot better in person I promise.it looks like it’s ment to go there how good it fits. Do you have to pop that panel off the consul and then unbolt the clock and cut all of those little pinch weld off the back of it so that you can pull the wood face plate off of it in the little cubby box after that I took my Dremel and opened up the underside of the top lip so that the iPad can sink up in there That way the flap door above the ashtray still can function 100% without hitting it. And then I notched out the side so the cable can fit in there and it’s super tloud got but holds it in place. For a mount I just used one of my cases. I had a flap that covers the screen and I just cut it off then I trimmed the top so that it can slide it in there easier without having to cut too much of the actual plastic dash out. I’m going to put some double-side for a mount I just used one of my cases. I had a flap that covers the screen and I just cut it off then I trimmed the top so that it can slide it in there easier without having to cut too much of the actual plastic dash out. I’m going to put A strip of Velcro on the bottom just to hold it. But it is not necessary because that thing wedges and they’re hard-core. I also took some fiberglass resin and fiberglass mat and reinforce the corners on the inside just for added support but it’s not necessary just my OCD LOL and it is hooked up into my pioneer AVH see A strip of Velcro on the bottom just to hold it. I also took some fiberglass resin and fiberglass mat and reinforce the corners on the inside just for added support but it’s not necessary just my OCD LOL and it is hooked up into my pioneer AVIC5200NEX with the USB cable into the port on the back of the radio so it connects and charges. The only thing that stupid is you can’t get Apple CarPlay on the iPad only the iPhones have it I don’t know why. But you don’t need it because everything is on the iPad. All I have to do is connect my mobile hotspot from my phone to it and it’s 100% function . Now I just need to get another iPad that way I can leave that one in there at all times. I’m also thinking about getting a Nother case and leave in the stream flap on it but just trimming it so that when I’m not using it I can fold it up to cover the screen Or I might just make a little cover out of fiberglass that pops in there because the reason I cut the flap off is it looks retarded hanging down while you have it open. If you would need any help let me know if you could send me your panel and I’ll cut it open for you.

I finally got around to installing my Rockford fosgate o gauge power wire. it was like pulling a garden hose. I also swapped the wire to the back of the Alternator. That’s what the small wire is in the photo. I’m not sure what age it is but it’s teeny compared to the other two sizes. I took the four gauge run out of the truck and put a zero in. I can tell a difference this morning driving to work with the bas alternator. That’s what the small wire is in the photo. I’m not sure what age it is but it’s teeny compared to the other two sizes. It hits way harder actually was hurting my ears not even cranked up that much.

I have been busy with the stereo system in the Tahoe. Not much room under the captains seats to put stuff but I'm managing. Built this little amp rack to keep stuff looking cleaning. This photo is of the 10 farad capacitor and the Rockford fosgate 3sixty.3 CF66BB66-8B6B-499E-8D5D-EDA8A8F7E9A9.jpeg BF384340-6500-42ED-8C1F-49A735357D60.jpeg

I ended up removing the plastic pieces and mounting two pieces of wood across the metal supports with screws. With the wood painted black, it works pretty good and looks fine

The seats are super comfortable tho. I have drove it around the neighborhood the last 2 nights and I’m impressed. I think the dura foam from the seat shop is where it’s at!! I was suppose to get the seats done for 150 each but the guy that I had do them is one of those guys who keeps asking for more money saying how hard something was. Hit me up first for an extra 250for more “supplies” and a few. Ore times after that but he did a killer job on them and I’m happy so it’s all good. It’s the material that cost a grip but I got a smoking deal on it. The material I used was Douglas leather , and it’s aircraft grade so it’s fire retardant I guess.each hide goes anywhere from 900-1100 or so depending on the sq. Ft. I’m trying to remember how many hides that I took him. Either 3 or 4 but he used them all.i think it was 3. So yeah the seats have around 4000 into them which just sounds full on retarded if you ask me! I have about half that into them which is still a lot. I don’t see how katzkin or the others can sell them for under 1000 unless it’s shirt materialand mostly vinyl

Old post i know, and looks great! But fyi: katzkins cost savings come in from scale of production, not material skimping. The leather and vinyl is all computer cut from a cnc pattern to minimize waste and waste time. Technicians are paid per piece to sew them, so they have a motivated work force (interestingly enough they have to pay for mis sewn pieces). Most kits (much like factory "leather" interiors) are not all leather, unless, in katzkins case, you order it that way for much more money. Most kits come similar to most factory leather. Leather facings on the front, leather inserts in the second row and an all vinyl third row. (Some older kits are more, but im mostly referring to newer, in general kits.) The leather they use in the standard lineup is a fully topcoated, aniline dyed leather. They do have an upper end leather, i forget its name, that gives up some durability for hand feel, (and the warranty reflects this) these are some GREAT alternatives on the upper end of the spectrum, bit katzkin does a great job fulfilling a need in the market, at a good price point. Thats not to take away from the small trim shop. The best custom work ive seen has come out of small, independant shops, and your seats look to be one of those! Just some boring insight from a (former) industry technician.

Anyhow, long post, but hopefully its been educational, and again, your seats and interior looks GREAT!

Only thing with Katzkin is you can't order directly from them. Need to get it from an authorized dealer.

True. Many smaller trim shops have an account with katzkin, roadwire, alea, gosford, etc. They can help ya pick colors and get you the right pattern . Theres an online vendor that carries them too. But enough of my hijacking. Op, seriously your truck looks GREAT! im sorry you learned a hard lesson about glue. Dap is the ONLY stuff ill use for this kinda stuff. The rest is amature hour stuff.

Thank you for that, I looked at katskin for a while before I did anything. It’s weird because some of the venders will have options for the03-06 and On the actual website itself there’s no listing for them. I also found quite a few other shops just like them someone a lot cheaper. You just have to Google leather replacement covers and stuff like that. Most people would be shocked to find out they can replace the whole seat leather for The same price they are paying the seat shop for just the bottom cover. The guy who covered my seats this is the little old man that’s been doing it for 40 years and said .
