Looking for door speaker replacement recommendations for my 09 Tahoe w/ the OEM Blows system. The Tahoe is a Hybrid so I'm not going to fuss with heavy electronics that I usually do (at least not yet). Just want to swap the doors, not really interested in adding an amp either. Thanks ....

The stock Bose speakers usually run at a 1.5 or 2 ohm load. If you replace them with aftermarket 4 ohm speakers it may considerably lower the output.

hate to say it, but in this case I'd suggest just replacing with another Bose OEM door speaker.

I believe Image Dynamics offers a 2 ohm component set, but I'd advise to just replace the head unit and the bose system all together.

OKLA is right, my speakers are fine (they better be they're 2 weeks old!!) I'm just looking for a quick upgrade to the door speakers. I know it'll work best if I add an amp with decent stuff (Polk, BA, Focal, Diamond etc.) but I was hoping there would be others on this site that have come up with some way to upgrade without hacking into the wiring. Thanks for all the input so far.

No worries. I could have been clearer in my first post.

Anyone know of an easy way to cut into the door speaker wires to add an amp and speakers to the stock HU? Guess I could spend a day adding an amp and running wires. I don't want to swap the HU because I have a Hybrid and the HU has the Hybrid screen, navi, and DVD all built in.

The easiest way to do it is to catch all the wires at the Bose amp under the center console (which is also where you get signal wires). You could also get them in the kick panels and B pillars.
