Recall letter

I started to drive my car 5 blocks to a stop sign. When I went to accelerate, my truck hesitated and began shutting off. I haven’t received my letter but my car does have a recall. I set up my appointment to bring it in however; the dealer said they don’t have a solution to the problem yet. Has anyone experienced this?
