Just noticed this today... I can wirewheel/sand, but repainting will never look right without a pro. This is the only spot I've seen thus far.

I can get to the backside easily by taking off the wheelwell liner, I would treat that too.Anything you do on the surface will be temporary unless you can get to the back side and clean things up.

Im doing the wrong thing. I'm gonna sand down to bare metal and rust convert mine and then slap Z71 Style flares over it to hide it for the next couple years.
I bought mine off Ebay and had my buddy who works at a body shop paint them. I opt'd for the non textured smooth flares. Not a fan of the million bolt hole ones.Where are you finding the fender flairs? I'd like to get some for my Yukon.
got a link?I bought mine off Ebay and had my buddy who works at a body shop paint them. I opt'd for the non textured smooth flares. Not a fan of the million bolt hole ones.
Link is pending approval from mods but this is what mine look like. Not Terrible fitment..had to open up the two mounting holes on top. But the fit is good. My painter did a great job. Just gotta buff out all the brake dust from the doors and it'll be mint.got a link?
Thanks, looks good. My truck is black, and I don't even know if I'd get them painted.Link is pending approval from mods but this is what mine look like. Thanks I would go for the textured or bolt on looking ones then. The smooth ones IMO would look weird not being painted. Thanks, looks good. My truck is black, and I don't even know if I'd get them painted.

Must be. I would just search on Ebay for your year yukon fender flares.Looks like it's this forum software causing the issue. I tried posting multiple versions of the link, and it keeps linking to a single pixel.
The backside in the wheel well is a separate piece of metal. There's no way of easily getting to the back of the outer panel but you might be able to get behind it taking off the panels inside the cargo area to at least get some oil in there to slow it down.I can get to the backside easily by taking off the wheelwell liner, I would treat that too.
