Not sure if this has been covered or not, but I just installed an OEM factory rearview mirror cam on my 2021 Tahoe PPV. No programming needed. One check engine light came on when I swapped out the whole unit. It apparently needs the original reverse camera or it throws a code. My rear view window is so heavily tinted, I needed this. Gotta admit, pretty cool. Just an FYI post in case anyone else was curious about codes or compatibility.

Is the kit still around $1000 in parts? I'm not sure if I want to go the OEM route or with the Wolfbox so that I can have a dashcam as well.

Naaa, the rear piece came with the mirror camera, reverse camera, and the water squirter nozzle for $150, the cable was about $25, and I decided to buy a new mirrror on eBay instead of used, so that cost $400, but that was a choice. All together $570 or so. I prefer OEM over aftermarket. I bought a dash cam (Fitcamx) that is basically invisible, mounts as part of the plastic shroud behind the mirror. Very clean.

Do you mind linking the parts you purchased because that sounds like a deal! Last time I checked there was a site selling the “kit” but didn’t seem worth the $1000+ cost. I was looking into the Mangoal dashcam but will check out Fitcamx.

The cable went up in price, but maybe the part numbers will help you locate them on eBay. Those are the only 3 parts you need unless you want to use the lens cleaner spray option. You need to get a “y” adapter and hose that runs off the rear window washer hose. Hope that helps
